“The market continues to be strong,” said KAR president Jon Fort with Arc Real Estate in Garden City. “November was the second month in row with an increase in sales compared to 2023.”
November 2024 Market Highlights
- Home sales in Kansas rose 8.7% in November 2024 compared to the same period last year. National sales rose with sales rising 6.1% over 2023.
- Home prices continue to increase across the state. The statewide average sale price in November was $323,400 a 5.6% increase compared to last year. Midwest prices rose 7.3% and US prices rose by 4.7%.
- Mortgage rates fell slightly. The national average commitment rate on 30-year conventional mortgage for the week ending December 13, 2024 was 6.72%. View Freddie Mac’s report.
