Kansas REALTORS® Testifies on MLS and REALTOR® Professional Standards Before House Committee

By Brittany Rhoades posted 8 days ago

This week, Kansas REALTORS® participated in a hearing before the Kansas House Commerce, Labor and Economic Development Committee on legislation that could significantly

impact the REALTOR® Code of Ethics and long-standing Multiple Listing Service (MLS) rules.

Kansas REALTORS® appreciates the time and leadership of Kipp Cooper, CEO of the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS® (KCRAR), and Mark Tomb, Vice President of Governmental Affairs for Kansas REALTORS®, who both provided testimony on behalf of REALTOR® organizations. Their remarks helped explain how MLS rules and professional standards support a fair, transparent real estate marketplace, while protecting consumers and ensuring consistent practices across the industry.

The committee hearing video is available for those who would like to view the discussion in full. Kansas REALTORS® testimony begins at 44:34.

As the legislative process continues, Kansas REALTORS® remains committed to advocating for policies that protect property owners, support homeownership, and preserve the integrity of the real estate profession.
